New Gas Cooker Installed

Today was the day that my new gas cooker was fitted, courtesy of Gas Check Marine. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Dave Brooks from Gas Check Marine for his generosity and enthusiasm for the project, and for coming onboard the project as a product sponsor.

When I first met Dave over a year ago when I had little but a dream he said to me that when I get a boat he would replace it with a brand new cooker, and today was the day that my reliable but time consuming paraffin cooker was taken off in replace of a shiny new gas cooker.

Having used the paraffin hob in the classic channel regatta it became evident that when sailing solo, the need of a preheat method with meth was not going to be practical solution for cooking each time I needed to use the stove. Excitingly I also have a grill on this cooker, which opens up endless possibilities in terms of cooking! Cheese of toast, pitta breads, crumpets the list is endless!
