Learning to splice rope with English Braids

Last Wednesday, Roger from English Braids, my new rope supplier for the project, came down to the yard to teach me about rope splicing, rope care and maintenance. Having never done anything like that before it was a fantastic learning experience for me. I learnt all different types of splicing from 3 strand to braid on braid and even dynema splicing and much more!

I have now started splicing all my ropes and have made a list of all the splices I need to do. Something for the winter evenings at home I think!
