Henry Bomby Sailing - Round Britain Project - The Seahorse Restaurant, Dartmouth

About Henry

Like many young sailors I started sailing thanks to the introduction of my parents and quickly developed a passion for racing.

Having done quite a bit of inshore racing, I now hope to step up and start competing in more long distance offshore races, so preparing to sail around Britain has been a great way for me to develop my offshore skills in a practical way.

Navigationally Britain is one of the most challenging places to sail, on route I will be tackling the world’s largest shipping lanes, tricky port entries, wind farms, moving sand banks and unforgiving sea conditions, making it the ultimate test of seamanship and the perfect training project for my future aspirations.

By sailing on my own also means I have to know about absolutely every aspect too, giving me an all round knowledge, as well as an understanding into how to manage and run a sailing project.
